Admissions Process


M2 104 , Research in Finance, is the second year of the Master Finance  of the University Paris Dauphine .  We welcome students who have successfully completed the first year of a Master (M1) in management, economics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, and students who have graduated from engineering and business schools.

It is appreciated when the candidate provides Gmath and Toefl Scores.





Two recruitment sessions:

  • The first round of admissions starts in Spring (admissions open on January 29 , 2019, deadline for applications March 12 , 2019)
  • And the second one is in Summer (admissions open on the 17th July 2019, deadline for applications on the 21th of August 2019 ).

Candidates are strongly advised to apply during the first round as the number of places remaining in the second round is very limited.


Two stage admissions process (the process is the same for the two recruitment sessions, only dates are different)

First stage

  • Dissertation

Applicants will be required to write a 15-page (max) dissertation, in French or in English (with a strong preference for the English), on a topic which they will choose from a list of four subjects. The subjects for 2019:

-        Digital prints and credit scoring

-        Initial Coin Offerings

-        Trade wars and international finance

-        The future of Green Finance

 Second stage

  • Interviews to be held in March/April.
  • Students should note that the courses start at the beginning of September.

Tuition fees

M2 104 Research in Finance is what we call a "Grand Etablissement Master program" (DGE) of the University Paris - Dauphine. As such, tuition fees vary according to an income-based scale. Get more details.

Generally, internships are well paid and usually cover tuition fees.
